I am a mother of 4 children, I was taking my children back and forth to school every day 5 times a week, this includes 2 in high school, 1 in middle school, and the last one in elementary school. As I’m picking up my children from school one day my 2012 Chrysler 200 all of a sudden shut off on me. Now I jumped the battery several times at first, then I replaced the battery, and last I replaced the alternator.

After doing all of this the program still continued to be a problem. Now I am not able to do anything else. If there is someone out there who could be of some assistance please and I mean please help me. If not for me definitely for my 4 babies.

First off I’ve been driving since I was 5 I’m 29 now and I notice just about everything. I’d like to say that first off the car was OK when I got it but now it’s just becoming a total loss between pressure Coming out of the oil cap to and transmission problems and all the other little things I couldn’t put my finger on it till I took it to the dealer for recalls. Directly from the service rep. I was told that how many problems does it have I said more then I care to talk about. He’s says to me you got a bad tipm. Face palm.... I was so mad I couldn’t believe he said that to me. Of course it’s expensive repair at the dealer. I suppose you get it cheaper online but I’ve spent so much time and effort trying to save it it’s not even worth it at this point. I really don’t understand what Chrysler can’t act like an adult and do what is right

Driving to the gym this morning, pulling into the mall parking lot, car just shuts off, totally dead, no lights, no steering, no gas, no brakes, restarts itself while coasting. Went into gym, did my thing, come out car starts right up drove 30 miles to work, on back roads, didn't want to get slammed on turnpike if it decided to do it again...AND it ran perfectly...

Upon internet research I am not the first one to have this happen to. Honestly the fact that someone hasn't died from this is a complete miracle. I luckily work for an auto shop and when I got here we put it on the shop computer and it says the car is running perfectly, not one problem present or past. Seriously that is an issue all in itself, that it doesn't communicate problems.

I digress, some say the frequency is roughly yearly, and some say it happens every couple times they drive it. I have had this car approximately one year , have taken it on 1800 mile road trips, and interstate trips, 60 miles round trip to work, never had a problem until this morning. I honestly wouldn't have had a problem driving it cross country until today.

When is it going to happen again, where?? What is the fix?? All good questions I wish Chrysler had an answer for?? If I trade it in, do you tell the dealer or private buyer, and then feel horrible if something happens because you didn't...Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

I am writing this complaint in response to my 2012 200 Chrysler which has completely lost all power. It started out with the windshield wipers stopping on me and then one day while driving the car i lost power. The steering wheel locked up and the car came to a complete stop. Luckily I wasn't on the highway and was pulling into the parking lot of my office building. After speaking with Chrysler I was told there was nothing they could do since this part is no longer covered under warranty. It seems strange to me that this part on my car had a recall for the software a few years ago and now the hardware is bad. I see a ton of complaints on this very issue including a lawsuit. If safety is of concern, it would seem like they would anything in their power to help the consumer.

Stuck with a lemon. Nothing but problems! Chrysler fix your cars. Be nice if you would buy it back! 5 years of payments to look pretty sitting in the driveway. I'm on a fixed income on social security can't even afford to fix it, and my extended warranty will not cover computer issues. Very disappointed!!! Would not recommend this car to anyone.

SOMETIMES THE IGNITION FAILS TO ENGAGE. IT MAY TAKE 15 TO 20 TIMES BEFORE IT WILL START THE ENGINE. EVERY TIME I TAKE IT IN TO THE DEALER THEY SAY THEY CAN'T FIX IT UNLESS THE COMPUTER COMES UP WITH A CODE. OF COURSE IT NEVER CODES WHEN THE DEALER HAS IT. THIS HAPPENS SOMETIMES TWICE IN A DAY OR IT COULD GO WEEKS AND ME FINE. VERY FRUSTRATING.

After completing a defective cylinder head repair, the next day, I drove to work and when I attempted to go to lunch I tried to start the car and it took about 5 seconds to catch, once it did, both MIL's were on and blinking and the car was jumping and jerking. I called the dealership and they recommended having it towed in (it just left not even 18 hours earlier). I had the vehicle towed in to learn that the compute module was bad, as was a sensor. Both items were replaced and the MIL were cleared. When I picked up the car that night the car still didn't drive quite right but there were no reasons to think there was anything else wrong.
