This Chrysler 200 is an absolute piece of junk. I owned a 2007 Chrysler Sebring before this and I spent over 3,000$ in repairs on the vehicle (EVEN WITH WARRANTY ON IT!) and decided to trade it in for the newer 200. I absolutely regret this decision and I'm never going to buy another Chrysler product again. The problem started off about 2 months into purchasing this piece of crap. A really loud metallic clunk would be produced from the front end of the car after it moves from a several minute park, the problem was a defective ABS module. The mechanics at Chrysler fixed the problem, but the fix lasted for a day. Right after I picked up the car from the mechanic I noticed several more problems; the brakes were much weaker, I had to press harder on the pad to slow down the car. The brakes produced a high pitched squeak when I used them. The front brakes drag and squeal for a few seconds after I let go of the brakes from a stop. The brake light in the instrument cluster occasionally comes on. All these are symptoms of a defective ABS module and the mechanics can't fix my vehicle. Winter is here and the roads will be covered in black ice & snow soon. If I get into a car accident because of a defective ABS on this piece of crap vehicle, Chrysler needs to be ready for a lawsuit. If they can't fix this problem soon, they better come up with an alternate solution. This car would fail an inspection if it undertook a motor vehicle inspection. I look forward to seeing what solution they would come up with. I'm fed up with the horrible quality these American pieces of junk are.
The car did have several others problems and inconveniences such as: -Rough idle -Car lunges/jumps forward if I slow down to a near stop then press on the pedal -The four speed automatic is horrible -The inside will sometimes rattle on highway speeds
I used to be a big fan of Chrysler and their good looking products, that was until I actually purchased one. Never making that mistake again.
