CarComplaints.com Notes: Since the Chrysler 200 first hit the streets, owners across the U.S. have complained about how their “dream car” quickly turned into a complete nightmare because of how the engine dies suddenly while driving.
Purchased to car new in September 2011. The car has been in repair on 4 occasions for the TPMS light coming on and staying on; all tires, including spare, were checked and identical to the pressure indicated on inside of car door. Dealer has replaced the sensor inside of dash twice and was able to reset on 2 other occasions. I have noticed the following prior to the light coming on: I will attempt to unlock the car using the unlock button on the key; the car initially does not unlock; after repeated attempts, the car will unlock, but when the car is entered and started, the TPMS light comes on and stays on. The only way to get the light off is to take back to dealership - they either reset it, or have to order the part and replace. I was told once the warranty is up, the cost of repairs is between $800 - $1000.
