headlights won't align can't see to drive

I bought the car used , seems to drive nice, but last night I was out after dark I went to make a left turn I missed it when it was not illuminated and went up on the grass, I had it back to the dealer's Lilliston Ford in Vineland, NJ. yesterday to align the headlights, today I went online found this site and see that it can't be fixed, so avoid all Chrysler products apparently their answer to a design flaw is live with it. Now I see why it was cheaper then a ford.

paid $32,000 for this car a year ago brand new the lights are very dangerous. At night on dark and curved roads you cannot see where you are driving. If making a right hand turn your lights are shining ti the left instead of into the curve. You are guessing where you are turning. These lights are very dangerous should I get into an accident ar night I will be sueing Chrysler. Lights have been adjusted several times and just had the light housings replaced but makes no difference. Very disappointed in this car and will have to look into getting something else all because of the lights. Chrysler engineers must have have their heads up their asses when they put these lights in their cars

While driving at night, I see a crazy pattern from the headlights on the street about 20 ft in front of me. I complained to the dealership and told them this was dangerous because i live on a curvy road that's lined with trees and as I'm driving the pattern from my headlights make it look like something is running out in front of me. Not to mention when I'm just driving on a normal street all i can focus on is that pattern out in front of me on the street. They told me to bring it in and they checked my headlights, in the daytime, by shining them on a piece of carbdoard, right in front of the car. Well no sh*t you didnt find anything wrong assholes, the pattern is about 20 ft in front of the car. They said they adjusted the lights and told me to let them know if that helped. No, it did not help, the pattern just moved about 5 more ft out in front of me. So i went back to the dealership with pictures of what i see when i'm driving. They said oh yeah we see what you're talking about so they told me bring it back when there "light guy" was there and they would see what they could do. When they called me to come get my car they said- we see what you're saying, but that's just how the headlight is made and there is nothing we can do about it. They said they pulled another 200 in beside of it and it had the same pattern. I told them just because there is nothing you can do about it doesn't mean it's not a safety issue, and they gave me a number to call and complain the Chrysler. Thanks for nothing. This makes me so angry that I am thinking about trading my car in, even if I'm going to be upside down in it.

just bought a new chrysler 2011 took off the lot it has 170 miles on it. took on a rd trip last night. It scared the hell out of me. When driving on whindy roads and hills at night, it is like a curtain comes down on the headlights you can't see. I seriously was scared. This is dangerous. I am going to contact chrysler. I am scared of my new car. Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Update from Feb 10, 2012: Took into chrysler to get fixed. I live in Bakersfield ca so flat land. going to take out tomorrow night see if fixed which i doubt

Update from Feb 19, 2012: well took car in for headlight issue. Still not fixed getting very angry. Can't drive car on rural rd at night

I love my 200, its design is sleek, and the interior is flawless...the engine, a 3.6 delivers without question. Unfortunately I am unable to drive on rural roads in poor lighting without the brights on. The low beams only work for the first 20 feet or so, and then when going down a slight decline the far distance or "night horizon" just disappears like a curtain dropped down from the top of the wind sheild. You literally lose sight of the road. Same situation when turning....like having to maglites on spot instead of flood...the visual plain is short and narrow. It is a really scary scenario...quite frankly I am very angry....and end up having to alter my routes to make sure that there are street lights. I should not have to blind other drivers with my brights to meet my visual needs on dark roads. The dealer said that adjustments will not change the operation of the lights. I'll try to get a video up loaded.

I recently bought a Chrysler 200 and really really liked the car...until I began driving it on country roads where I live. The headlights only go out about 10 feet in front of the car and then they just cut off in a weird "Z" shaped pattern. You can't see anything at all in front of that line. There is no visibility above it (like in a regular car you can still get some illumination above the ground) it is like they hit a wall and you can't see any further. I have never seen anything like it and have taken several people out in it just to show them how odd it is. They have ALL agreed that it is dangerous.

This problem does not occur on main roads where there is street lights, although, you can still faintly see this weird "Z" shaped line in front of the car. When you are driving back on those roads you can't see any upcoming hills, curves or even the side of the road at some points let alone any animals that might dart out in front of you. I drove it on the same roads I have driven FIVE other cars on over the years (and worked the same area for the EMS we have there) and have never had any problem seeing. I had the car taken to the dealership and the lights were adjusted, but to no avail.

I contacted Chrysler and was told to see another dealership. I took the car to the new dealership and was told the lights were fine. I went back to Chrysler and told then "Something IS wrong". He told me he would offer me no more assistance with this matter they concurred with their dealership. I would tell anyone who lives or must drive through a rural area to AVOID BUYING THIS CAR!! I have great eye sight, I am trained in emergency vehicle operations, I am young and I know these roads like the back of my hand, this is a bad design issue and if Chrysler goes to these lights in their other vehicles I will find a new company to buy from. I have purchased 6 Chrysler vehicles over the last 10 years from the same dealer and I was absolutely disgusted that they cut me off and refused to help me after only 3 email correspondences.
