CarComplaints.com Notes: Since the Chrysler 200 first hit the streets, owners across the U.S. have complained about how their “dream car” quickly turned into a complete nightmare because of how the engine dies suddenly while driving.
I have taken my car in twice because my check engine light came on. The first time it was the number 5 cylinder. The second it was the master. Both were fixed and they extended my warranty...I'm sure so they wouldn't have to replace my car when I inevitably took it in a 3rd time. I hate this car! I will never buy another Chrysler again!!
My husband and I purchased the 2011 Chrysler 200 on October 18, 2011. On the drive home from the dealership the engine light pops on with 279 miles on this vehicle. We had to return the car to the dealership the next day and they have yet to fix the problem
This is the second time in the last two weeks my engine light has come on and I work so I haven't gotten to the dealership yet, I will call them in the morning. It appears instead of the V4 gas saver feature being affected, it's the remote auto start. The last problem was cleared by a software download, but didn't last. I'm starting to get pretty upset to buy a new vehicle and start having these problems up front.
It's bad when your engine runs like a cold diesel engine, the engine light is on, take it to the dealer to find no computer code which means nothing can do except reset the computer
