While at a stop light the engine shut off without warning. We could not get it to restart. But the radio and the windows worked. When we would attempt to restart, the engine light and the electrical light came on. We had to have the towed to the dealer. The dealer could not find anything wrong since there were no codes and they could not recreate the problem.

Our 2011 Chrysler 200 has about 8000 miles and has been stalling, surging idle speeds when stopped, and downshifting hard (jolting) for the last 2000 miles or so. Tomorrow is the first time taking it in specifically for this reason after having the dealer annotate these symptoms during the last oil change. It is not save to have a car's idle jump while at a stop light or intersection nor is it safe to have a car stall out when slowing down. Furthermore, it's a brand new car so this is completely unacceptable to pay for a defective product. If it does not get fixed I will be contacting my insurance company to let them know what is going on as I am fearful that one of these lunges will result in a crash.
