Car is supposed to turn off when you put it in park, put your foot on the break and press the start key. This has become a regular problem almost every other time I try to turn the Volt off. Takes multiple tries to get it to finally turn off. I believe there is a service bulletin about this, but I am told Chevy won't cover it under warranty.

Have received the shift to park message multiple times. I see there is a class action suit for this problem. Will it suddenly not shift to park at all? I don't know.

Car will not turn off when put into park and engine button turned off. Dealer replaced part initially, but that lasted only 2 months. Dealer then replaced entire assembly and that seems to have taken care of problem.

Vehicle intermittently won't shut down. Says it needs to be shifted into park, even though it is shifted to park. This has been going on for well over a month. Called dealership, who played dumb to the whole problem and can't tell me if it will be covered under powertrain warranty (bumper to bumper, of course, expired just weeks ago).
