Started experiencing "shift to park" issue last August. Car would not turn off when shifted into park. I took car to dealer where the shifter sensor and harness were replaced under service bulletin 19-NA-206. Service was covered under Voltec warranty. No out-of-pocket cost but the car was in the dealer for 9 days until a Voltec technician was available to work on it. No loaner car was available during this time.
"Park to Shift" problem likes everyone else. The problem is the easily broken plastic switch sensor in the shift assembly which is a well known problem. DIY fix is all over the Youtube. And yet Chevrolet won't acknowledge the problem. I love Volt because it is in fact a well thought out designed car. But its reputation just ruined by a little plastic switch? Seriously?!
