All I can say is that the van currently needs a lot of work. It needs a catalytic converter, power windows need to be redone switch is gone the bottom is completely almost rusted underneath, rocker panels shot to crap!!!!!!!! we just put new tires on about 6 months ago and they already are gone due to the tie rod ends at first this may seem like normal wear and tear BUT after repairing our van just to turn around and have the same problems isn't acceptable in the least!!!!!WE WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER CHEVY VENTURE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! I firmly believe someone has to look deeper into the safety issues of this van. we have 5 kids and want to ensure their safety in the vehicle. We definitely can not do so with the chevy venture....and of course we still owe on it but the repairs total to almost what we owe on it!!!!! Isn't that the way!!!! someone should step forward and do something about these 2002 Chevy ventures......Chevy's generally good. What the heck went wrong with the 2002 venture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The least somebody could offer within the company is to make this a safe vehicle or replace it. The venture really stinks. Now I am without a vehicle but I'd rather be than driving that with all my kids in it. It isn't worth what we paid for it. That's for darn sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My complaint is premature rust. The driver side rocker panel has rusted completely through from the back wheel well to 12" forward. It wasn't noticeable unless you looked at it from the ground. Its obvious that its from a design problem, but Chevrolet refuses to extend any help to me. They told me to have the problem diagnosed by the dealer. Two dealers refused to make a diagnosis for rust, so I had it looked at locally. Even though I did what they told me, they won't fix the problem. I wish I had noticed it earlier and had it fixed under warranty, but I never had a Chevrolet start rusting this soon. They don't care that I've owned chevrolet's for the last 45 years. I quit calling them on the phone because I've wasted so many days waiting for a return call that I tried E-mailing them. 3 e-mails later, and I don't even know if anyone read them.

This car after only 2 years started getting rust spots (among other things).

I couldn't believe it.

I had a 1966 Chevy caprice in 1978 with no rust spots..

That's 12 years.The dealer said they couldn't help me.
