: the contact stated while driving 35 mph approaching an intersection the vehicle in front made a U turn which resulted in a collision. The consumers vehicle impacted the other vehicle on the rear left side. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed at the scene of the accident. The fire department was also present. Had intermitant airbag light, repaired by dealer under warranty. Dealer fixed drivers side seat belt retractor. Then had 40 mph front end crash, front and side airbags failed to deploy. SDM has history of failure on this van. Contacted GM, they stated 'no issue - case closed'. needs to be addressed. I am an automotive engineer, all conditions should have been met in this crash for airbag deployment.

The consumer sustained a fractured sternum and was hospitalized. Another vehicle also hit the consumers vehicle in the rear. The vehicle was declared totaled.

I was in a accident going between 30 to 32 mph and hit a car with the front of the van. The other car was struck on the driver side of the car. Neither of the air bags in my Venture van went off. The front bumper, headlight assembly, grill and hold were all damaged. The fire department and police department wanted to make sure that I make a complaint with you because they stated that both air bags should have went off. As far as I know there is no switch to turn either air bag off.
