The contact stated the ABS brakes activated at low speeds. The ABS engaged when approaching a stop sign which resulted in extended stopping distance and caused the vehicle to collide with a vehicle which was stopped at the stop sign. The police arrived on the scene. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle is currently at the dealer for repairs. Updated 12/27/2005.
The consumer starting experiencing problems with the vehicle on Mar 18th, 2005. The consumer felt a skip or sputter while driving or at a stop sign. The dealer told the consumer to put dry gas in the vehicle which solve the problem. The check engine light illuminated, so the dealer tightened the gas cap. The ABS light illuminated.
When the consumer attempted to apply the brakes, the pedal went to the floor. The ABS light appeared on the dashboard and remained on. The consumr was able to drive it to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic informed the consumer that the ABS braking modular needed to be replaced. Please fill in additional information.
