Air conditioner will shut off when set at 5. took to dealer, and they replaced blower motor resister 3 different times.also, when starting vehicle headlights are suppose to come on, but nothing comes on. Consumer slammed glove compartment, and headlights came on. Took to dealer, and they couldn't duplicate the problem. Service manager informed consumer that the circuit box behind the glove box was so hot that she almost got burned twice, consumer has had burned wires replaced.
Engine is making a very loud knocking noise. Dealership only listened to vehicle, and determined noise to be a ticking noise that was coming from air conditioner. Consumer stated that ticking occurred when air conditioner was on or off. She did not feel that noise was coming from air conditioner. *note: Consumer's husband discovered oil leaking from engine head gasket. Dealership stated that this was normal, and should not be considered a problem. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
Vehicle brought to dealer. Dealer could not recreate condition after several hours of idling in the yard. Asked me if it had been rainning! vehicle was brought in to them "wet" on 8/1/00. Dealer found problem to be improper A/C module sealant. Module showed traces of heater box grease which was plugging drain. Also found drain opening to be too small. Re-sealed module and made opening larger. Installed downspout off drain to eliminate any reverse pressure situations.
