My van would be all right until I would come to a stop light or stop sign and then it would start to lurch and it felt like the motor was in a diffrent gear. If I would turn it off it would work fine. It would not do it all the time - it cost about $537 to fix it. And it was a pres control solenoid.
Minivan failed when it raced away out of control at extremely high speed, with owner at the driverS controls, as a result of a small part in a HVAC vent support loosening and falling into the apparatus controlling the accelerator cable, causing the accelerator to be stuck in a position of high speed acceleration. Owner tried to stop the minivan and could do so only by jamming on the brake with both feet while operating the vehicle up an inclined exit ramp.

When stopping on a slight incline with foot on brake and transmission gear in drive, vehicle suddenly rolled backwards. Dealer stated that this was normal.
