This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Rear windshield wiper motor failure. Gears were made of plastic components. Gears when replaced were found to be broken and caused need for replacement. When replacement was done again the gears broke causing additional required replacement. Due to the design of the vehicle, rain dust and debris accumulate on the rear window causing the need for rear window wiper to function properly to allow clear viewing by the driver of the vehicle. Third replacement piece has continued to function at this time. At time of replacement, we were informed by two separate dealers that this was a common problem of this particular vehicle, but no recalls had been made to their knowledge, and no recalls were available for this particular product. I did contact the Chevrolet site to ask about this particular problem without any response from the company regarding this concern. **dimsii IVOQ entry posted after 12/12/02 cut-over to artemis*769761
