I have given the same problem on my 2006 Chevrolet Uplander, so you may refer to that vehicle. Both vehicles shut down all the lights when going up and down hills and in the snow. It is as though light is reflected back and they think it is daylight and shut totally off and you are in total darkness, which is quite a shock.
