2007 Uplander driver side rear service brake hose is being worn into by parking brake cable. Exterior rubber jacket of brake hose has been rubbed off, exposing steel core of brake hose.
2007 Chevy Uplander lt speed and ABS sensor on front passenger and driver side completely torn off. I thought it might be associated with a wreck I was involved in so I took it to a GM dealer for inspection. I was told that the loss of sensors could not be related to accident. This is not a result of normal wear and tear or a maintenance issue. This results in failure of ABS system. Danger is posed when a sudden stop is required to avoid a collision or driving in icy conditions. I had the vehicle evaluated on 3/10/2009 and repaired on 3/11/2009 at a brakes repair shop. Costly to perform repairs and was told by the people that replaced the hub and wheel bearing assembly that the sensor and wires that lead from the hub run very close to the axle which more than likely resulted in the damage.
2007 Chevrolet Uplander ext, noticed parking brake cable is rubbing through service brake hose where the two cross just inboard of driver's side rear wheel.
