For about 5 months we dealt with AC working on and off. We would recharge the freeon, but the AC would be on and not be cold for a few minutes then cool for a few. Finally in June 2011 it stopped working all together (always worse when we were in hot weather).

I took it in and was told the compresser was bad, it would be $1300 to fix, or we could just not have air conditioning. We chose no air, because we would be trading soon (because we hate this car). a week later, while on a 900 mile drive from Fl to Ohio, the belt snapped, cause us to be towed to a nearby dealership. 4 days in the shop - we needed a new compresser because it caused the bearing to lock, break the pully and melt the belt. $1000 out of pocket to repair $300 in hotel bills and the Chevy dealership wouldn't even give Me and My 5 stranded kids a loaner car!
