When driving up and down hills in Missouri OR driving when snowing at night all the lights go out if you have them set on the automatic setting. This is rather bothersome if you have someone approaching you. Also, if you are going around a curve at the time it is not very safe. I prefer to use the automatic setting so I do not have to remember to turn the lights off when I get out of the vehicle. I also have a 2007 Uplander and the lights do the same thing on that van. It has to be a sensory setting that happens whe it it gets light enough for the light to hit back at the headlights as you are going up or down a hill. In Missouri it is hard to drive without hills or curves and our roads don't have much of a place to pull off on the side on our side roads so you are off over the side of the road if you veer too far over when the lights go off and many places drop off pretty steep. It is a fairly significant problem in my opinion.
