1st time, the brakes lock up, service stabilitrek light, engine limp mode light, abs light, traction light. An independent mechanic put it on diagnostic computer, and said it was the drivetrain but he wouldn't touch it. I then take it to the dealership, they said it was the fuse box, I waited 8 days until part was delivered and it was "repaired". I asked it if had been test driven, they said it was. They said it needed a new fuse box, that my old one (2 year old car?) was green with corrosion (I never saw it). It also had a new dent in the hood, I told them no internal damage, I would take 100.00 for compensation. They agreed, no problem, I have to wait for check, so we'll see.
I then took car to get new tires about 4 miles away, decided to wait for my husband after I found out the cost. When I headed home, the brakes locked on an up hill incline. I called the dealership, said they will work on it again but I had to pay the tow truck 80 to get it back there. They said they will cover the tow and the dent that mysteriously appeared in my hood while they had it, but not yet they haven't. So, 712.00 for the repair, 100.00 for dent, 80.00 for tow. The whole time there was no loaner to be had, though after the second tow in they had a loaner all of the sudden, the same car I had notice parked out front when I dropped my car off originally. When I dropped the keys off originally, I left them a list of everything that had happened, but the brake situation has not been looked at obviously, the only thing listed as being repaired was "an open wire break". I am confused, the staff at the front desk was polite, the manager seemed to be trying to help me, but I'm not sure what to think at this point. I will keep you updated.
Update from Oct 6, 2022: Fuse block was replaced.
Update from Jan 5, 2023: ok 2 more break downs, currently at the dealership. so: 1st. time: Corroded fuse block (2 year old car?) 2nd time: Master cylinder was binding up on the inside. 3rd time: ABS module and a valve was sticking 4th time: Pending, currently at dealership with no word on what's wrong. I have to give dealership credit, they are doing their best. They have supplied me with a loaner this time, so I am not missing work. I am just so frustrated. The gentleman at the dealership said they aren't sure what's wrong with it. My question is, what do I do if they can't figure it out? This isn't the dealership I bought it from, that's a whole other story. Just waiting to see what happens next.
