The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse. When the contact was attempting to buckle the seat belt, the release button fell out of the buckle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (zeigler Chevrolet, 1230 E golf rd, schaumburg, Illinois, (847) 882-2200) where it was diagnosed that the buckle fell apart and needed replacement; however, it was not covered by the warranty. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 97,000.
