It has been a year since the recall on my vehicle with no remedy to the fix that needs to occur. Having a vehicle with an airbag the could cause more harm when in an accident isn't exactly safe to drive. I would like to know when this remedy will be completed due to the fact that I will also be having a teen driver soon and don't feel safe with her driving my car with this airbag defect.

We have tried several times to get a new airbag installed. In fact, we had an early morning appointment with concord Chevrolet to have new airbags installed that were recalled. Sounds dangerous to us if we should be in an accident that they would fire metal parts at us risking our lives. My husband took the car in as promised, and when he got there they said they didin't have the replacement airbags. What is going on" it's been months now. We drive the car and pray that we don' get iin an accident needing airbags. Chevrolet has got to furnish them soon! no more waiting around. Is there any other place where we can find them??"
I received a recall notice dated June 2023 regarding the front driver airbag inflator. It may contain a defect resulting in inflator rupture during deployment. An inflator rupture may cause metal fragments to pass through the airbag and into the vehicle interior which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants. To date, there is no remedy. I find that unacceptable.

I wonder how long this unrepaired faulty air bag will take to get replaced" I read in the possible outcomes of a faulty airbag & it says flying metal can be FATAL. How long is the government going to let this go on" The NHTSA should put a stop build order on all new vehicles until they make repairs to the ones that are in the field waiting for recall parts. If you think GM gives a sh*t about what is in the field, you are sadly mistaken. I demand that our government get involved and start making GM get the parts & repair this recalled defect.
Airbags have been on recall. Received a letter from Chevy May 2023 of last year. At this time they still don't have a solution. Says if Airbag deploys could possible shoot small pieces of metal. Very unsafe to have on the road.

June 2023 I received notice of a recall. As of today the parts for recall are still unavailable with no ETA. This is taking too long while putting me, a driver, at risk of injury or death if airbag goes off.
