The fuel gauge in my vehicle is not functioning correctly. It is showing that my fuel level is very low/empty even with a full tank of gas. I took it to the repair shop and the it had the codes P0452 for the fuel tank pressure sensor circuit and P0463 for the fuel level sensor. The repair shop replaced the fuel pump module which did not fix the problem. They suggested it appears to have an ECM issue. This exact problem is a recall on the 2014 Chevy Traverse however my vehicle is not included in this recall.

One day as I was driving on the freeway, the vehicle's engine light/airbag light came on and the vehicle then went into "engine power reduced mode" I was lucky to be close to a turn-off. I was able to get the vehicle off the road safely. I turned off the vehicle and check it. Then turned the vehicle back on and all lights were off. It was shocking, the car was driving normally. I did not think twice and took it to the dealership. They told us it was just the battery and airbag sensor. Thankful they changed it, no cost to us. But later this happened again, this time it was the "engine light and traction control off". We have no idea what it is. Because we have taken the vehicle to a mechanic to get checked, but they can't seem to find anything wrong with it. This happens several times. Can I have some answers or help to stop this from happening. At this point this vehicle to very dangerous to drive.

Check engine light intermittently comes on and off. Car misfired and stalled while idling (parked). Took to mechanic and check engine code noted to bevp1682. Chevy recall 14187 and Chevy recall 14007 are similar to these symptoms but currently our VIN in not included despite a similar situation. Fuel guage also reads inaccurately.

My truck started shaking, after pulling over and turning it off, it cranked and ran normal (several times). The engine light came on and the reading was a starter relay fuse (similar to an ice cube) that was replaced. Then it started shaking, loosing power and not starting (rolling over but not catching). Code read throttle body which was cleaned. The very next morning exiting the interstate it lost power, would not start, again turning over but not catching. Towed to the dealer and diagnosed: Fuel harness wiring. #3 ignition coil, spark plugs and fuel system cleaning. All done except fuel system cleaning. Drove to work, attempted to leave work and the vehicle would not crank, turning over but not cranking. Eventually cranked and 2 days later started jerking. Came to a stop sign, making a left turn it jerked and lost power in the middle of the road. Towed to dealer again replacing the entire fuse box. Fuse box is on back order, pending results.

The gas gage/sensor in the tank is messed up. The gage will show that I have just under 1/2 a tank but when I fill up it takes almost 15 gallons. I believe this is an 18-20 gallon tank. There has been instance when I have had 1/4 tank left, filled tank completely and the gage took over 48 hours to reset. I looked to the gas used/left digital read out and it said I had used 60 gallons on a 1/2 full tank. Dealership I bought it from is aware but made no offers to repair.

Driving on freeway, warning lights came on with error 'service traction control' and 'engine power reduced'. emergency flashers would not come on. Barely able to limp to the side of the freeway with cars honking and swerving around vehicle. Traverse has 40,000 miles on it. Has had same issue except this time while parked. Turn truck off and restarts fine. Both incidents within a month of buying vehicle used. Took vehicle to carmax, oxnard, ca, 93036 where we have extended warranty. They were not able to replicate the issue and returned vehicle. This was after the first time it happened. In carmax 8/9/2018.

I received an alert that some 2014 Chevrolet Traverses had a recall that required a computer update; however, researching my VIN # shows no recall. I have experienced several electrical type issues that was explained to me that the computer system is losing contact with several modulators. So far it has been my power train modulator, fuel pump modulator and my on-star modulator. I strongly feel like this is a manufacture defect and that a recall should be issued to correct the problem. No accident has occurred at the time of this complaint but I feel that it won't be long before I have an issue that will result in an accident.

Recall (14007) repair was supposedly done May 2014 at jeff gordon Chevrolet in wilmington, nc. Car was put in the shop October 2017 at same place for same problem that prompted a recall, inaccurate fuel gauge reading. Extended warranty covered repair this time. Instrument cluster was replaced and problem fixed, according to jeff gordon Chevrolet. June 27, 2018 - we ran completely out of gas even though fuel gauge showed a quarter of tank remained. Car shut off. Thankfully we were not in motion. We were sitting in a customer's driveway. Jeff gordon Chevrolet will not cover repair, we have been told we are financially responsible. How can an obvious issue that was part of a recall not continue to be covered?

14 Traverse fuel low light stays on, even after filling the vehicle up with a full tank of gas. Gauge fluctuates and we cannot tell exactly how much fuel we have. Very dangerous when driving children around.

This report is related to a known and widespread computer glitch in late model GM cars. The glitch seems to be triggered by other system faults when the car is in motion causing multiple failures rendering the car unable to maintain speed over 20 mph or so and also affecting the braking system. Please watch this video https://youtu.be/hbvaoiixnxy and then read the comments. This has been going on for years across a variety of GM models including the 2017 Traverse. It is a major safety issue as the cars become seriously incapacitated when the glitch occurs. There is no clear failure occurring and there are no faults recorded in the car's modules making it very difficult to diagnose and repair. If we didn't have the video I took to prove it was happening the dealership would have sent us away again. Please watch the video, everything you need to know is in there. People continue to comment on our video because it is still happening! there is a report for a 2017 Traverse in the comments section! thank you!

Car lost throttle control. Engine remained running, but car just lost power with no throttle response. Has happened several times now at different speeds. Dealership cleaned throttle body and reset cpu, but it happened again the next day, turning vehicle off letting it sit for a minute does remedy the problem temporarily, but eventually happens again with no warning which could be very dangerous on the highway. Date below was the last time it happened, I would have to look for the first time which was over a year ago after we had the break booster replaced under warranty. The traction control light comes on when this happens.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. When the fuel tank was filled with fuel, the fuel gauge failed to display the accurate reading. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V223000 (electrical system, fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,543.
