According to research, GM had fixed the problems with the life of their timing chains for vehicles made after about 2009 with the 3.2l V6 engine. My 2014 Chevy Traverse has had regular oil changes since I bought the car used at 29,000 miles. There is no way a timing chain should have failed in a well-maintained car at 78,000 miles. Of course, the powertrain warranty only covers 5 year/60,000 miles so I have to pay for this out of pocket. This is costing about $2800 to fix. I don't think I will ever buy a GM again.
