My wife has a 2014 Chevy Traverse with 60,000. The traction control and stabilitrack warnings came on the dashboard. This happened 3 times in four weeks. Once the power was reduced and the car would not accelerate. We were on a city street with light traffic and once the car stopped completely. Thank god she was in a parking lot when it happened. I have taken it to the dealer each time we get the messages. The said that they could not find anything wrong and come back if it happens again. The changed a fuse on the last visit. It has happened again and it is in the shop right now.

My [xxx] daughter (permit driver) driving to school for extra community service hours (on a Sunday) and the car started to shake and not accelerate, the traction control, check stability control flashing. Very dangerous situation for a [xxx] driver. We pulled over and I took the wheel, same thing happened, we barely made it back home. Also, airbag light comes on randomly, had this serviced due to recall and the problem has started again. Frustrated mom. • 40,000 miles
My vehicle only has 45,000 miles. The past few months, I have been experiencing problems with the motor as it suddenly loses potency as the vehicle is in motion. The check engine light is always on. When the motor loses potency, it puts "track control on" and "track control off" right away, as well as a sign to service "stabilitrack". I have taken the car to the mechanic and they did a computerized scan where it shows there are problems with the oxygen sensor, low air entrance, problems with the injectors, low voltage problem, brake system off, etc. In conclusion, a series of problems with the car which are not real. I have searched online and there are thousands to claims due to this same problem I am having. To this date, I have not found any recall of the manufacturer to fix this.

I was driving on the interstate at around 70mph and my Traverse started shaking like there was trash in my fuel pump. Then I get a message that my traction control isn't working. Then my Traverse loses speed (and we almost get hit) and the vehicle will only go 20mph. I made it off the interstate and the dash read stabilitrak, service traction control, engine power reduced. It is now at the local Chevy dealership as it is under a carmax extended warranty. When the tow truck came he could not even get it to crank and he thought it was out of gas (no. 100 miles to E) the vehicle has approximately 64000 miles on it and has been regularly serviced. I am thankful my children and I were not killed when we lost power. This is an extremely dangerous problem and unacceptable.

Driving on freeway, warning lights came on with error 'service traction control' and 'engine power reduced'. emergency flashers would not come on. Barely able to limp to the side of the freeway with cars honking and swerving around vehicle. Traverse has 40,000 miles on it. Has had same issue except this time while parked. Turn truck off and restarts fine. Both incidents within a month of buying vehicle used. Took vehicle to carmax, oxnard, ca, 93036 where we have extended warranty. They were not able to replicate the issue and returned vehicle. This was after the first time it happened. In carmax 8/9/2018.

While driving at pretty much any speed at random, the car starts shaking and the service traction control and service stabilitrak lights start flashing. Sometimes it goes away right away, other times the car needs to be turned off and will go away after a few minutes. Vehicle has been in the shop multiple times for the same issue and the dealer states they cannot recreate the problem.

Radio going crazy, horn honk for no reason when you get out of it, low battery blink then go off, check engine light go on, then go off after few minutes, speedometer act like its sticking when acceleration or deceleration, traction control light come on then go off, cruise control on and it reduce speed, tachometer go up as if your speeding up when its sitting still, car is not shifting smooth like it use to, burnt plastic smell, weird gear oil smell, but no signs of leak, and locks unlocking hours after you lock it and alarm is on, it just takes turns doing different things, started couple of weeks ago, so far, they have not figured out what's going on yet, been in shop since Tuesday and it still has warranty for pre certified cars, all these problems happened while driving it on the highway, it start with occasional incident and now its daily, I am concerned the next time instead of slowing the car down that it will just shut off like some of the others have done

Highway speed, hit moderate pothole and received multiple error messages in the display "engine power reduced" "service stabilitrak" "service traction control". engine barely running/running rough. Brakes have no power assist. Vehicle struggling to maintain 20mph and hard to get off the freeway. Appeared to be complete ECU malfunction. Had to abandon car in a public parking lot and have someone pick us up. Vehicle was towed to local dealership and yet they can find no fault codes, thus releasing the car with no work performed. This phenomenon has been documented on youtube here: [xxx] note: This is not my video, but is the exact scenario I encountered. Similar video documented here: [xxx] many other instances documented on the internet in various vehicle forums and across other GM platforms. This is an unsafe condition that should be a better investigated issue by Chevrolet. Recall (14007) repair was supposedly done May 2014 at jeff gordon Chevrolet in wilmington, nc. Car was put in the shop October 2017 at same place for same problem that prompted a recall, inaccurate fuel gauge reading. Extended warranty covered repair this time. Instrument cluster was replaced and problem fixed, according to jeff gordon Chevrolet. June 27, 2018 - we ran completely out of gas even though fuel gauge showed a quarter of tank remained. Car shut off. Thankfully we were not in motion. We were sitting in a customer's driveway. Jeff gordon Chevrolet will not cover repair, we have been told we are financially responsible. How can an obvious issue that was part of a recall not continue to be covered?

I was going through a drive-thru, and left the parking lot. When I stopped at a stop sign I heard a chime, and a ' traction control off, service traction control, and service stabilitrak' lights came across the screen on the dashboard as well as the traction control light. So I drove back toward my job, and about 3 miles down the road, my car started to shake and the rpms started to go up!, so I started to drive to the dealership I bought it from 3 months ago, and they didn't have any appointments for today, so I left and made an appointment for tomorrow. As I was driving back to work, the car started to shake and decline in speed, this lasted about 2 minuets and then went back to normal, I parked my car at work, and went back in for 4 hours. When I came back out, all the lights were off, and it drove fine home. Hoping that the dealership can fix it, I don't feel safe driving my children in this vehicle any longer! I could have been in a wreck today! I have read this is a common problem with the Traverse! I have also read that it has yet to be fixed, I have two young children, I bought this car for safety for them, and now it could hurt them! this is not the first time this has happened, this is the longest it has lasted. It has happened about 3-5 other times, just a short 5-10 seconds and then back to normal!

Service stabilitrack/ traction control off display on dashboard while car is in motion. Car will jerk while accelerating and cruise control doesn't work. It will reset and work properly after turning car off for 1-3 min and restarting. It happens periodically on several occasions at various times and on trips of various lengths. There seems to be no pattern or precursor for the malfunction.

Last week when my car was parked, it died. When I got back in, I realized it had died, and tried to start it. When I started it, all of these errors started popping up: "engine power reduced", "traction control is off", "service stabilitrak". the power was definitely reduced, and I could barely creep along. The car even shook like it was about to die. Then when I was trying to stop the ABS breaks came on and off several times. I parked and turned it off then turned it back on after a minute. It was back to normal except the service engine light was on. So I took it to the dealership and had them check it out. They couldn't find anything to fix and said to call again if anything happened again (they did charge the battery). I went and picked it up and drove it 10 miles. I parked and shut it off. When I came back out to start it about 30 minutes later, this time there was an error about the guidelines on the camera system not working and the same stabilitrak error. So I shut it off and started it back up. It seemed to be functional after restarting it. It was okay for a few days until the major errors happened again this morning. I was trying to pull into a parking spot and it did the same thing with the same errors that I first had. It actually went to a total stop and would not move forward at all. I was thankful that I was in a parking lot and not on the highway my children in the car with me. It was so sudden, that if we had been on the highway, I am sure I would have been in an accident. I turned it off and back on and the same thing happened again with the same errors. So I turned it off again and let it sit for a minute and turned it back on. The errors were gone but the service light was on. It seemed functional again. There are tons of similar situations reported online. The dealership is supposed to check it again.

On more that one occasion but most recently on 03/16/2018 I have driving my vehicle and I get the first message of, "service stabilitract". the next message is, "traction control off". it is then following by, "engine power is reduced" and my check engine light comes on. The vehicle then decelerates to 10-20 mph. This has occurred to me twice while on the highway travelling in excess of 60 mph.(not while accelerating). This has occurred while accelerating from 0 mph, 30+ mph, 60+ pmh and decelerating from 60+mph, 30+mph and from 0 to 30 mph. It has occurred while turning a corner, driving in a straight line. The dealership said to bring the vehicle in after an incident without turning off the vehicle. I have not been able to drive the vehicle without ever having to stop and turn off the vehicle. The power steering is almost non-existent after reduced engine power occurs. It feels like it is running on three of the six cylinders and has almost caused me to have an accident. I almost hit a school bus once. The vehicle is at the dealership again for it's second week of diagnostics.

While driving the reduce engine speed, traction control, stabili-trac, and the check engine light flashes. The engine speed was reduced to a crawl. This has happened three times now and the speed doesn't seem to make a difference 30mph - 65mph. While we have been able to turn the car off and get it to drive home after 5 mins, it is dangerous because it happens while driving at higher speeds in the middle of traffic.
