Once again I have experienced a problem that my local Chevrolet Dealership could not or would not fix. I have been hearing a"whining" noise coming from what appears to be the right front of the engine. I went out to crank my vehicle recently and nothing not even the door chimes would work, the battery was completely dead. After having it boosted-off I drove it to my local "AutoZone" store and had the Alternator checked which showed to be defective and was overcharging the battery. I left there and took it within a few days to the Chevrolet. Dealership. After sitting at this dealership from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm I was told nothing was found wrong with the Alternator but they replaced the battery "free." In my humble opinion they addressed the symptom but not the cause in that the "whining" noise is still there with the voltage meter fluctuating constantly. I have another appointment soon but if this appointment is like so many others absolutely nothing will be done......
