CarComplaints.com Notes: There are a fair-number of power steering related complaints which is a continuation of problems from the previous model year. Considering the problem tends to happen beyond the standard warranty (73k+) it's best to avoid this vehicle or at least be prepared for the $1,300+ repair.

Dear GM,
I have been a loyal customer since 1989, over 12 Chevy’s purchased. I feel like myself and others have been taken advantage off. I have a 2011 Traverse LT with the Tri-area climate system. My system is not working and it is cold in the Traverse. I have grandchildren that my wife transports around town. My heat will only work on the driver’s side, not the passengers and the recirculate air will not work. The light just stays on. The passenger’s side will only blow on the defrost vent.
I have done a lot of research on the problem and it is a well know issue that should have been fixed with a recall. Why was this not looked at or taken care of when the Traverse was still under warranty? I have heard that this is from as early as 2009. How much will this cost to repair? I hear it is a major repair ( $200 to $1000). I feel this issue should have been taken care of before it broke.
I have always trusted any Chevy I had bought. I felt there was no need to buy an extended warranty because I believed you stood behind your products, apparently not to let this issues go un-repaired or even putting out a recall on this. I posting most of this on the social sites I visit. I probably will never buy a Chevy again.
