My mother has a 2008 chevy Trailblazer. She has been having the same problems with hers as many others evidently. She will be driving the vehicle when the headlights suddenly go out. She has this happen to her every time she drives it. She has to put her brights on just so she can make it home. I called GM about this issue she is having and they told me that her vehicle is not on recall for the problem even though the 2006 and 2007's were for the very same problem my mother and many others are having with their 2008's. This is so dangerous! How can you only fix a portion of the problem and not all of it? All I can say is GM is no longer in our prospective vehicle purchases anymore.
