The check engine light came on, my gas tank needle went down to empty on a full tank of gas and will not come back up, and it stalls. While I was driving.
Smelled gas odor from rear of vehicle. Crawled under and found gas tank leak at the connection of filler pipe to tank/check valve. Understand this was known defect on earlier years and tanks wer covered by a special coverage plan 14423. Any extensions for later (2008) model years?
The fuel gauge is fluctuating from full to empty and the empty light comes on. It has occurred a few times now over the last few weeks. The issue has the potential to cause a stall condition, if the vehicle runs out of gas unknowingly due to this inaccurate gauge condition. I have been able to research some documented evidence of this known issue on NHTSA, but have not found any solution being offered by GM.
My 2008 Trailblazer is having a rough idling issue.. when I first start my vehicle it does not want to keep running. It doesnt want to move either. It is the throttle position sensor and it cost $300 to buy the part
The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the fuel tank leaked fuel and the fuel cap indicator light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who cramped the tank cap, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 76,000......updated 02/11/16
