CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2002-2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer is known for many things, but perhaps it is most famous for its faulty fuel gauge.
This gauge flip-flops more than a politician during election season. Some report that the gauge says "empty" after a fill-up, while others report the gauge says "full" when they're running on fumes. Either way, there's one thing everyone seems to agree on: the darn thing is just wrong.
Following hundreds of complaints and a few accidents allegedly caused by the malfunction, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) opened an investigation into the issue in May 2011. Unfortunately for frustrated owners, no recall has been announced.

SERVICE AIRBAG light came on last week. Took vehicle to dealership to fix. Parts are discontinued so airbag cannot be fixed per Ferman Chevrolet dealership. Also told me that airbag will not work if in an accident.
Around 2019, I noticed that each time I started my Trailblazer, the "service air bag" light will flash for a minute, then goes off, then comes right back on and stays on. There have been some days when it only flashed then went off, but after about a few months, the "service air bag" light remains on. Have taking it to the Chevrolet dealership to get a diagnosis. The light remains on at all times. Afraid that if I was involved in an accident, the air bag will not deploy!
Hit a pot hole in my Trailblazer as and my airbags deployed, I believe it is a safety issue that they deployed without an impact of any kind, body panels are all fine and in good shape but the bump jard the airbag sensor enough that it deployed them. This in my eyes is a huge problem and could be a big risk for someone because the airbags are malfunctioning.
All of sudden my tail gate will not open unless the vehicle is running and I hit the unlock button 5 or more times and then at times that doesn't work also my airbag light starting blinking and now it won't go off. I called about a recall and was told there wasn't one for this problem but on line it showed it was. My case number is 4864379595 I am going threw cancer treatments and need my vehicle please let me know if this is under recall as I can't pay right now to get it fixed.
Takata recall my air bag light was coming on and off. Then it stayed on for good. When I had it inspected. They said it was a sensor located within the steering column. I'm wondering if my vehicle was over looked under this recall and would like to make sure me and my family is safe. I purchased this vehicle used back in July 2017. I never had any accidents in this vehicle. Its awkward for an airbag light to come on. I've been driving GM vehicles for some time and never experienced this.

My truck was involved in a accident and my air bags did not deploy and my charging system goes in and out my 4WD comes on by itself and I have to turn it off while driving
Service air bag with would periodically come on and go off depending on speed and turing the steering wheel. It finally stayed on for good. Was told by one dealership that it was a loose connection and that it was still safe to drive. Drove it like that for a while and finally had a chance to take it to a different dealership. Said there was a faulty piece in the steering column and that if I had been involved in an accident, the airbags would not have deployed.
Both left and right side air bags deployed for no reason.was stopped at traffic light proceeded to make easy right turn accelerated and bang thought I had been broadsided. Pulled over inspected car no outside damage road was smooth didn't hit anything.
My husband was driving about 40 mph on a country paved road when his side airbags went off. His radio and lights started flashing. He was able to get home the mile or so, parked the car and shut it off. When he went to start it the next day nothing worked. He was startled by this happening and was lucky he didn't cause an accident or get hurt. He could have caused an accident very easily due to the visibility. Not sure what caused this to happen. - unknown the vehicle was taken to a Chevy dealer but they were not able to diagnosis it so at this point we are not aware of exactly all that was effected with the vehicle. I have attached the denial from our insurance.
Not exactly what's going on with my 2007 Trailblazer lt 5.3, this is an intermittent issue the airbag light comes on the dash and says airbag fault, it's not every day but most of the time, I'm worried because what if I get into an accident and the air bags never had an issue till now. It only has 134,000 miles, not something I think should go bad, also sounds like I'm not the only one having an issue. Is this a fuse, a sensor? what can cause this to happen I don't like driving around with no airbags.
Takata recall I was involved in an accident that did over $9,000 damage to my front end of vehicle. The airbags did not inflate. This was on a city street, and both vehicles were moving. Also had a power window motor go out. I understand that this might be involved in a recall of window motors that could be causing fires.
I had my cruise set on 55 mph and was hit head on by VW jetta pulling out toward my vehicle, then forced to left into a telephone pole. Airbags didn't deploy, and received broken sternum. Don't know if seatbelt injured me, or if the seatbelt didn't lock on 2nd impact and possibly hit the steering wheel.
Swerved to avoid hitting a deer almost hit mailboxes so swerved to avoid them. I swerved to much than in my correction hit the gas instead of the brake. I than hit a tree between 45 - 50 mph. My airbags never deployed.
Our side airbags deployed without us hitting anything. There was no pothole or any curb or anything obstructing our path. We were just driving along and the airbags deployed all on their own. Why has the 2007 Chevy Trailblazer not been recalled. We spent $8,000 getting the car repaired.
A vehicle was stopped in front of me and I rear ended them. I was going around 44-55 mph. After I hit the other car from behind I crossed 2 lanes of traffic and went thru a pretty deep ditch. The air bags did not deploy at all. I sustained a concussion., several head lacerations and a fractured lumbar spine.
It was raining and we were on our way home driving down the highway and hit a water puddle and hydroplaned of the side of the road the truck cut off and spent around hit a tree head on and the airbags didn't deploy. I was hospitalized with multiple injuries and im still suffering.

I can smell as if something burning, on different occasion.the headlights would randomly shut off, while driving. I would switch to high beam in order to see. The back hatch window, locks when it wants to. The airbag indicator lights come on and stay on awhile. The vehicle will stall and then accelerate at times. The tire pressure lights, does not come on when pressure is low. The check engine light comes on, and stay on awhile, and then goes off, and comes back on. The climate control heater system blows cold air. At one time the key would not come out of the ignition. Had to continue to giggle the key to get it out of ignition. Noticed my headlights did not come on when I used the remote entry to unlock or lock the door. The windows stall when going up or down. I have contacted GM, but they are telling me that my make, model and year are not part of the current recall. And that the letter they sent me, was to purchase warranty for the vehicle. I feel that this vehicle is not safe due to this electrical problems.
