CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2002-2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer is known for many things, but perhaps it is most famous for its faulty fuel gauge.
This gauge flip-flops more than a politician during election season. Some report that the gauge says "empty" after a fill-up, while others report the gauge says "full" when they're running on fumes. Either way, there's one thing everyone seems to agree on: the darn thing is just wrong.
Following hundreds of complaints and a few accidents allegedly caused by the malfunction, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) opened an investigation into the issue in May 2011. Unfortunately for frustrated owners, no recall has been announced.

The back window is made in a way that there is always tension on the top brace, which is GLUED to the window. The glue eventually gives way and then the window is left hanging on by only the shocks that lift it and the latch at the bottom. Usually the window shatters when the glue separates from the brace.
In our case, we noticed that the window was loose so we took it to the dealer this morning. They said it was "unfortunate" but the whole window has to be replaced. The brace is sealed on the window when it comes from the factory and cannot be reglued - the only option is to replace the whole unit for $1000. Of course, Chevy doesn't think it's their problem, even though I can google "trailblazer back window shattering" and it brings up a bunch of complaints. It's easier to say "we don't make the glass" than to fix their mistakes - which is a design flaw, not a glass flaw.
On the way back to work from the dealership, we hit a bump in the road and the back window shattered. The top brace (formerly attached) flew. It was not pretty. Luckily, no one was behind us. We were hit in the back of the head with flying glass (in the front seat!).
