CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2002-2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer is known for many things, but perhaps it is most famous for its faulty fuel gauge.
This gauge flip-flops more than a politician during election season. Some report that the gauge says "empty" after a fill-up, while others report the gauge says "full" when they're running on fumes. Either way, there's one thing everyone seems to agree on: the darn thing is just wrong.
Following hundreds of complaints and a few accidents allegedly caused by the malfunction, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) opened an investigation into the issue in May 2011. Unfortunately for frustrated owners, no recall has been announced.
I bought this vehicle used in December 2012 and the Stabili-Trak light started randomly coming on two days after buying the vehicle and a year later it is still randomly coming on. I have to turn off the engine and restart the vehicle to make the light go off. I can’t help but wonder if doing that is just masking the problem.
TRULY AGGRAVATING SINCE THE TRACTION CONTROL STAYS ON THE CAR BARELY WILL TAKE OFF. IT THINKS IT HAS NO TRACTION STARTING OF SO IT HESITATES TRACTION LIGHTS BLINKING THEN TAKES OFF. DANGEROUS PULLING OUT ONTO HIGHWAY COULD CAUSE A WRECK IF YOU TRY TO CROSS A HIGHWAY OR PULL OUT ONTO INTERSTATE!
The stabilitrac/traction lights on abs and red brake lights on. With in 12 month after installing a new starter switch it would happen again. So far this has happened 8 times now going on 9 why should someone have to pay for a product that is definitely a problem.
