CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2002-2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer is known for many things, but perhaps it is most famous for its faulty fuel gauge.

This gauge flip-flops more than a politician during election season. Some report that the gauge says "empty" after a fill-up, while others report the gauge says "full" when they're running on fumes. Either way, there's one thing everyone seems to agree on: the darn thing is just wrong.

Following hundreds of complaints and a few accidents allegedly caused by the malfunction, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) opened an investigation into the issue in May 2011. Unfortunately for frustrated owners, no recall has been announced.

Trailblazer EXT 4.2L V6

Ok going to keep griping. After replacing the transmission now it makes an awful CLUNKING noise going into gears. Reverse you hear it and then put it in drive and it is REALLY loud. I haven't had it checked out yet because I don't want anymore problems with this vehicle. This is what I picked out but didn't know I was getting a piece of crap!

Trailblazer EXT LS V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 12,000 miles

I have had ny trailblazer to the dealership at least 12 times since April of 2006 for the transmission and I keep getting the run around I started a lemon law suite against GM and now the Dealerships won't even touch my truck. I am so pissed off at Chevy its not funny they claim it is normal back lash when the suv CLUNKS into the gears Example Park into Drive. If it was normal back lash and GM knew it they should of disclosed it to their consumers what happened to the American way?
