Don't even bother talking to Chevrolet about this problem. They obviously don't care that this problem is happening to nearly every Trailblazer. They haven't issued a recall, and it is very apparent that they won't issue a recall. It would be nice if we all could barricade every Chevrolet dealership with our dysfunctional Trailblazers so that they could not conduct business until they dealt with us, the dissatisfied owners. Anyone else ready to take action?
Ok, this problem has gotten out of hand. It started a few years ago with the speedometer going ape s**t, then the tach started to fail intermittently. Now the temperature gauge after sitting for 12 hours in -5 degree weather is reading oh, about an inch past 260 (which is red line). While doing a search on this I just so happened to pull up the complaints on the 2004 Cavalier, which my wife owns. It also has about 70+ complaints on this site alone for the same problem. I have submitted a complaint with the BBB and the National Transportation Safety Board. I suggest everyone do the same.
My rpm gauge and my mileage gauge stopped working,it says your going 120 when your only going 40. I don't have the money to fix this problem right now. I think Chevrolet should fix this problem because Im not the only one with this problem. If I don't get help this will be the last Chevy for me.
WTH... I have had Chevy's my whole life and I never had some half ass issue like this....really the frigging' ALL OF THE DIAGNOSTICS?!?!?! information to all of the truck happenings?!?!!? It will get worse, .....first the speedometer goes then the tachometer, temp , feul and finally the battery....it works clockwise it seems and reading from my other owners i'M on my way to a different brand all together,ESPECIALLY SINCE CHEVY DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR IT! WHY IN THE HELL DID WE BAIL THESE CLOWNS OUT AGAIN...........?!?!?!?
Sick of Chevy. They don't stand by their product. Traded in the Trailblazer and got a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I will never buy a Chevrolet product again. Stop buying from them and put them out of business!!!!

It seems my Trailblazer gauges lasted longer than most. The dealership wants $600.00 but so far its only the speedometer so I'll wait. Bought a Tom Tom for now, a lot better deal.
First my speedometer went then the tachometer, water temp gauge and now of all things the gas gauge doesn't work. They all go in the opposite direction. So annoying. From what I'm reading this is a major problem.There should definitely be a recall on this problem.We should all get together and file a civil suit against GM. please let me know what I can do to help. I really don't have the money to fix this major problem. HELP
This is pretty bad when your speedometer shows 120 mph when you are only going 40 mph. Now my battery gauge is pegged out at the bottom of it or sometimes is fine.
I find it hard to believe they recalled other trucks from chevy with the same problem but not the trailblazer it all comes off the same dam line anyways I worked for GM and thats why I bought from them but this is not little problem this is a big problem back up your products for if you want us to continue to buy your vehicles!!
This is a dangerous problem - gauges don't work right at all,speedometer /tachometer/charging system /oil pressure/ they are all wacked out. Chevrolet must recall this problem or hey lets all get together and file a class action against them. they recalled the trucks why not the trailblazer's ..we've been ripped off.And they wonder why we buy Japanese..RECALL /RECALL/ RECALL TIRED OF EXCUSES
I called the 800 number and the lady told me that I am not covered for their special provisioning for this known problem. That their special provisioning only covers vehicles 7yrs/70k mileage. I have over 90k miles and they are not willing to cover me. I think this is crap! She was very unfriendly and unwilling to assist. I can’t afford to pay for this to be fixed. I will never buy another Chevy car I can’t believe there is no recall for this issue.
I still cant believe this has not been recalled. I think I may take it to some news stations....see if it is worth a story. Wonder if there have been wrecks or tickets issued because of this problem.
Tachometer and speedometer fluctuate constantly. I travel 120 miles a day for work and this is definitly a problem and safety issue for me. Oil light was goin crazy once, but normal now (so far)
i've got a 2004 trailblazer which i bought new in 04,replaced the cluster 4 times during the warranty period,my gauges just go to zero while driving,usually after stop and go traffic.ihad extended warranty so kept goingback thinking oneday they'll figure it out,NOPE!!!.
when the warranty expired, I gave up.i still have the problem and just delt withit.dont any body no how to get this problem fixed,I'm an auto technician and thought of buying a new car will keep my wife off my back,but now if she gets a speeding ticket because of this problem.they should recall this problem,they'll probably wait till people start dieing, then do something!!!!i now have 80,000 miles on the vehicle,they gotta do somthing!!!!!!
Just purchased this vehicle and speedometer was working fine. On the way to work today, it ended up facing the odometer. This is absolutely uncalled for and warrants attention immediately
I HAVE TO AGREE WITH EVERYONE ABOUT A RECALL I KNOW TWO PEOPLE THAT I WORK WITH THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME TROUBLES. WHEN IM DONE HERE IM GOING TO CALL G.M. THAT WILL PROBABLY DO NO GOOD LIKE EVERY TIME IN THE PAST. CAN`T BELIVE I STILL BUY ONLY G.M.
my wife's car is an 03 trailblazer the speedomerter is going out every now and then we have to turn the car on off on off on off till it resets to 0 mpr. some say its just the speed sescor.
For all people dealing with the instrument panel failure please complain to the Better Business Bureau and the National Highway Safety Board. My speedometer and RPM gauge has failed completely and the oil gauge is pinned to maximum. There are so many complaints about this and no recall on this model but other models with the same problem have been recalled. Please complain and see if we can get this fixed.
