CarComplaints.com Notes: Carrying the not-so-proud traditions of its 2002 predecessor, the 2003 has a handful of instrument panel malfunctions that can leave you guessing your speed, engine temperature or how much gas is left in the tank.
We were driving down the road at about 60 mph and the back spoiler that holds the tail light in just came flying off. There was a motorcycle behind us, and this nearly caused a bad accident. Chevy is supposed to be 100% quality, American craftsmanship. I think they should do a recall on this before one of us red-blooded Americans gets 100% dead because of their "design flaw"!!
Anyone having a Chevy Trailblazer LT 2003, maybe later version as well, should be extremely careful driving over 65 miles an hour, mainly if it is windy. The back spoiler (back gate) can fly away just like mine. After living this terrible episode with my truck, I am afraid of replacing it.
