The contact owns 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the air bag light illuminated intermittently while driving. The failure recurred intermittently over twelve years. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who repaired the air bag sensor on several occasions. However, the failure continued to occur. The contact also stated that the gear shift broke and he was unable to shift into the proper gear. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who replaced the shift cable. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.
The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph, a strong odor of fuel emitted inside of the vehicle. The vehicle also stalled without warning. Additionally, the gear lever would not secure into park until after numerous attempts. Upon restarting, the vehicle began to function normally. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who tightened the shift cable. The vehicle was not repaired for the additional defects. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 160,000.
: the contact stated while parked the driver side seat belt locked up and would not retract. The vehicle was taken to a service dealer for NHTSA recall, # 04V201000 regarding seat belts. After a year, the same issue recurred. Updated 11/16/06. The air bag light illuminated. The shifter would stick when trying to move it from park to drive. The moonroof would not close
Consumer unable to shift gears. After trying to shift gears numerous times vehicle stalled. Vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the shifter cable needed to be replaced.
At normal speeds vehicle would jerk. Dealer inspected vehicle on two separate occasions, and determined that four wheel drive switch and transmission needed to be replaced.please provide additional information.
This SUV automatically locks into 4-wheel drive while you are driving the vehicle. I have had the SUV in the service garage 3 times. Nov. 13, Dec 19, and Dec. 27. all three times they replaced the transfer case switch. The SUV is still locking into 4-wheel hi while driving. Jan.2 I almost wrecked because it engaged at 35-40 miles per hour while going around a bend. The vehicle had to be shut off to disengage the 4-wheel drive system. I have contacted GM about this problem and they are basically ignoring it. Please help find out what the problem is before someone is hurt.
Power mirrors malfunctioned; mirrors will automatically move themselves. Dealer could not duplicate. Service 4WD light displayed on cluster and 4WD switch is inoperative, vibration in floorboard at 55-60 mph wheen pressing gas, dealer could not duplicate, small dark fluid leak from rear of vehicle, dealer replaced differential gasket.
