My wife has a 2000 Chevy Tracker 4 wheel drive automatic, we have had this car about a year run and drove great. Until 6/2/2017 while driving down the highway it just stopped running without any warning at all, but did crank back up and run and drive. This happened while my wife was on her way to work 80 miles away. When she was leaving work that afternoon the Tracker would not crank, so I had it towed back home. Then spent the next few days taking her to and from work myself. When you drive and give it gas to speed up, it hesitates spits and sputters and then dies.
I have replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter along with the oxygen sensors. Had the fuel injectors checked and even changed the spark plugs but noting has changed. It will still run and drive until you give it gas then it dies. It does not matter if you are driving it 35mph or 55mph, it will die if you give it gas to speed up.
I am about fed up with having to dish out money trying to fix this Tracker. If anyone can figure this out let me know. You can email me at barwickfarm@gmail.com. If any automotive dealers have a fix for this problem without any cost, let me know. Will be letting the public know about this problem to see if anyone else have the same problems.
