So I was in my aunts car during a power outage lasting from 5/16 - 5/20 due to a storm, we were driving to get food due to the fridge not working when suddenly, we try to brake, the assist didn't work, and the brakes barely stopped, we ended up crashing into someone's Toyota, the chevy logo broke, glass shattered, airbags deployed, and plastic broken, we did some calls to onstar and a few days later the car was totaled out by the insurance, they gave us some generous dummy shmoney (22k to be exact) and instead of fixing and potentially going through the same issue, we just bought a Certified pre owned 2021 Chevy Tahoe.

Brakes feel very spongy at slow speeds normally after a drive on highway. First noticed it when backing out of parking space last year. Some times it almost feels like the ABS has kicked in. But this is only at slow speeds. I've taken it to the dealer twice but they can't replicate it. I've told them what they need to do but I don't believe they actually tried it. I don't know if they are waiting for the warrantee to run out and then put all the cost on me or what. But it appears by all these complaints that there is a breaking problem with this large truck. I just want it fixed.

When backing into a parking space the brakes failed. After pumping brakes the car finally stopped barely missing the wall. Very scary! This has happened twice. Taking car into shop but I’m sure they will be unable to resolve the issue. Not to mention try to charge an outrageous price. This definitely qualifies for a recall. Would hate to think what would happen when backing a boat in the water.

Bought this truck used certified from Ryan Ford in Sealy Texas. Problem was identified the day after I bought the truck. Went to Ryan Ford about it. They couldn't find a problem and said there was nothing wrong with it. If I had any further problems to take it to Chevrolet which I did. They informed me the vacuum pump was no good and needed to be replaced. it was not covered under powertrain warranty and Ihad to pay $700 to have it fixed. I was without my vehicle for 4 days while this was being fixed.

When I was in stop and go traffic was the first I noticed it. The vehicle does not brake in low speeds. Its almost like they become frozen and you have to tap them very hard to get the vehicle to stop. I have done plenty of research and now the dealership is requesting $900 to have this replaced when I have done a ton of research and seems there are many people with this same issue. They have agreed to cover 2/3 of the costs but I believe they should cover the entire cost as they SHOULD know this is a known issue. It is very scary and the car is only 2 years old. I have never had this happen is any vehicle I have ever owned.
