Airbag picture showed on dash. After several dealership appointments, the code B0014 04 was found. Driver seat airbag deployment exhibits high resistance due to faulty electrical jumper wire connections and may not deploy upon impact.
The contact owned a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while his wife was driving 55 mph, another vehicle pulled out in front of his vehicle hitting the front of his vehicle. The contact stated the air bags on the side of the vehicle deployed however, the front driver air bag did not deploy. A police report was filed. The contact's wife was transported to the hospital by ambulance as she sustained broken ribs and chest pains. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed a total loss. The manufacturer nor local dealer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.
The contact owned a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. While driving various speeds, the digital instrument panel would display incorrectly. Also, the air conditioner and remote start failed. The vehicle was taken to Washington Chevrolet (1 raymond blvd, Washington, pa 15301 (724) 222-2800), where a software malfunction was diagnosed and the software was updated, but the failure recurred. Several months later, while driving 25 mph, the contact inadvertently swerved to the left and struck a utility pole and fence. The air bags failed to deploy and there were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact sustained head injuries and bruising that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but did not assist. The contact mentioned that the vehicle was serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 16V651000 (air bags, seat belts). The failure mileage was approximately 24,000.
I live in a fairly arid climate, where rain doesn't occur frequently. A couple of months ago, after my Tahoe had been sitting in the rain, I noticed water dripping from the inside door pillar when I opened the door. I just assumed it was water than came in from the outside when I opened the door. Then about nine days ago, while driving in the rain, water began dripping from the top center console area, in a steady stream. When I took it into the Chevrolet dealer they said that the seal on the hi-frequency antennae (shark fin antennae), over the driver's side was faulty, and that water was leaking in through it. Since there was not a recall for my VIN, and since rain was predicted to continue for several days, I had no choice but to pay $452.32 to have a new antennae installed. The service department did what they could to dry the area out in between the roof and the ceiling and left the cover off the side driver's airbag so it would dry, telling me to return in a week so they could replace the cover on the airbag. In addition to being out a lot of money, I am concerned about the side airbag possibly malfunctioning after being wet over a period of time.
I was hit in a head on collision going through a stop light which resulted in me hitting the steering wheel and my air bag did not deploy. Furthermore since then my back windshield wiper works only occasionally. Ofcourse it works when I can get in at the dealership.
While driving the vehicle's driver seat will move forwards and backwards making it unable to reach pedals to stop safely, air bag light will flash erratically, loud ticking noise, miss-fire/vibration while idling. Been to the dealership twice to fix still not fixed, contacted GM about issues and to file a complaint. Now dealership refuses to work on Tahoe

The contact stated while driving approximately 45 mph the contact crashed into another vehicle causing that vehicle swerve into the opposite lane and crash into three other vehicles. The air bags failed to deploy and the contacts seat belts failed to lock. Medical attention was required for the passengers of the other vehicle for unknown injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The failure was not diagnosed but the entire front panel needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 9200.
