The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the front driver's side door failed to close. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the door actuator failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the rear driver and passenger doors failed to close. The vehicle was not taken back to the dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and referred the contact to NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. While driving approximately 55 mph, the plastic molding around the frame of the passenger side door and tended to pull out approximately three inches off the frame, which caused a distraction for the driver. The contact stated that the molding on the driver's side door frame was replaced a year ago. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (K & J Chevrolet, carlyle, il, 618-594-3113) where the molding was replaced on the passenger side door frame. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000. Updated 8/14/18
