I am back again with another complaint. I purchased my used certified 2015 Chevy Tahoe from a Chevy dealership back in 2015. Here it is I step on the brake pedal and the interior lights flash...thinking like a female I was like "oh a plus 1, I brake and the interior lights flash like warning I am braking." I felt dumb when a coworker told me no that seems like an electrical problem. As time went on it got worse; I contacted the dealership (3 to be exact) and no one in the service department has heard of this problem (bullshit). My husband found some bulletin and that's how we found out what the problem was. As I further my knowledge I have found that I am not the only person with this problem. Every time I drive around at night those irritating lights keep flashing. Oh and to add when I use the left turn signal the reading light flashes too. I can honestly say I hate my 2015 Chevy Tahoe.
Update from Jan 25, 2018: 2 days ago I called the dealership where I purchased my 2015 Tahoe and spoke with the service manager. I explained to him what was going on with my vehicle; he said he would look into this and call GM or whoever it is my service contract is with to see if the contract would cover the cost to repair my dome/interior light problem. Here it is days later and what do you know no one has called me back. Luckily I have a mechanic for a husband (military helicopter mechanic) and since they do everything by-the-book he went on to repair the problem. Now I can say my lights are doing just fine- no flickering or looking like I drive a mobile disco vehicle.
Anyone out there with this problem just go on YouTube to assist you with popping the cover off. You can order your dome/reading lights directly from the dealership, ebay or gmpartspros.net.
-thanks Chevy dealers who have yet to hear of this problem or just want to take us on a ride for our money.
