CarComplaints.com Notes: This might be the Tahoe sweet spot. The 2013 has a great safety rating (as long as you don't roll it over), tons of room and few complaints. What it doesn't have is the interior accessory problems of the older or newer generations.

My husband bought me a beautiful black 2013 Chevy Tahoe LTZ in may 2013 and it was stolen in July 2013. It took awhile before we were able to settle the lose and buy this 2013 Tahoe LTZ that we are now having problems with. This Tahoe was hardly driven. We decided to go see our oldest grand-daughter graduate from boot camp in Mo. on 04-02-2015. Before leaving for trip my husband went to wash truck and called me that the Tahoe would not start and needed a boost. To be on the safe side he took the Tahoe to check the battery at Auto Zone. He was told the battery was good. We took the trip with no problem, the following morning at the hotel in Mo the Tahoe would not start. The key would be turned on and the locks on the doors would lock and unlock and the lights would dim off and on which was strange. Someone there gave him a boost and the Tahoe started. We went to the ceremonies and no problem. We went to eat and leaving the restaurant the Tahoe would not start again. We were lucky other family members were on the trip, it then happened the following morning before leaving Mo. My husband decided to get the battery checked at Auto Zone and they told him it was fine. He did not want to have any problems while traveling back home to SA Tx, since we had 3 young grand-daughters traveling with us. The first couple of hrs, it was fine. We turned on the air condition and the girls decided to watch movies and all of a sudden my husband noticed that the battery was loosing charge, the lights were dimming off and on at night. We tried to travel with no air-condition, radio, and no dvd movies. When we got home my husband took the Tahoe in and explained the problem. They wanted to know if he had the battery from the truck. They checked the truck and said there was no problem. We went on another road trip on 07-2015 and we experienced the same problem with loosing battery charge. My husband bought a battery charger just in case. We are now getting ready to go on another road trip in July and took the Tahoe to get is serviced, since it is still loosing charge more charge when the dvd player is used, connecting the phone charger, or air condition is turned on, losing power when trying to access a freeway. They replaced the alternator and it worked for a day and then it started doing the same thing. It is back at the dealership and waiting for the outcome. Is anyone else having this problem.
