This year model has a serious defective problem with the gas accelerator malfunctioning. I have spoken to dozen of friends and family with this year model and above an all have problems with the gas pedal. This will lead to someone being killed if not addressed by the builder of the truck. The pedal sticks when driving, thus causing you to accelerate when driving. I have almost ran into the vehicle in front of me. I have asked family and friends with the same type of truck and they too have has this problem.

Gas engine run away check engine light illuminated with P0069, P0430 (emissions codes) engine uncontrollably revved to maximum 6000 RPM (max throttle)while in drive gear from autostop resume.. cruse control not enabled slight uphill grade required engine to be shut off with key same day as first event while in drive gear from autostop resume with cruse control enabled at 25 mph engine uncontrollably revved to maximum 6000 RPM was able regain control of engine RPM by shutting off cruse control.. (something in common with the first time ) slight uphill grade uncontrolled high engine RPM from autostop resume still happening after replacement of the map sensor... I see as much as 2,000 to 2500 RPM from autostop resume... this is not normal it should be starting at 1200 to 1500 RPM.. normal engine starts are at 1100 RPM

Vehicle's autostop feature is extremely dangerous when driver is trying to apply the brakes and slow vehicle. Vehicle jolts violently forward upon breaking and accelerates to 10 mph. Vehicle's transmission failed at 135K miles during stop at traffic light in hayward ca in Dec 2018. Transmission was rebuilt. Vehicle at 145K miles now is completely shutting down during auto stop with low RPM's without any service codes to check. At all times vehicle is in drive.

When in heavy traffic coming to auto stop then auto start vehicle accelerates on it's own even with brake pedal is applied to control vehicle from take off and go then start stalling shaking like transmission is gonna fall a part then shuts off. Once turn it of and restart vehicle goes back to normal. Untill its stop and go traffic again problem reoccurring. Danger to bump into vehicles infront of you cause accident. Also vehicle speeds up on it's own without applying gas pedal at 40 to 50 mph

Takata recall on my vehicle - why is taking so long to remedy this recall? I also have a few other issues I want to mention. I bought my Tahoe in July 2016, my dash is cracking on the driver's side and from what I've read, this is very common and GM is ignoring the issue. My vehicle also started taking off on its own, took extra pressure to stop & RPM would fluctuate sporadically. After contacting a dealer, I was told there was campaign to replace the throttle body sensor but it had expired while the previous owner had possession and was told I'd have to pay for the repair and would possibly have to replace the throttle body. After replacing the sensor, my vehicle's RPM still fluctuates upon stopping and idle is rough. Very upset Chevrolet customer now.

The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe. While driving approximately 75 mph, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to decelerate. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that throttle position sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 145,000.

Around feburary of this year my vehicle begin to idle out of control and was attempting to gun off evertime I tried to put it in drive, according to GM they were already aware of the issues and said they had an extended warranty on the throttle body for my 2008 Chevy Tahoe. My car did exactly what GM said it would do to confirm it was the throttle body but the GM service department denied the issue claiming it was a loose vacum hose and would not replace the throttle body. My vehicle still does not operate as it should which I know is due to the throttle body issue. Thousands of owners have confirmed the same issue and obviously GM knows about the issues but chooses to go around it by calling it an extended warranty which makes the replacement conditional. I am 100% sure that I and milllions of Tahoe owners know this she be a recall and not a so called extended warranty to get around the expense of making a recall. When the issue occured I went flying down the freeway with minimal ability to slow the vehicle down, I had to drive my vehicle to the shop by riding my breaks because the vehicles throttle body would not let the trucks RPM go below X3000. GM is continuing to ignore this serious issue and will untill someone dies instead of taking responsiblilty and making the recall to prevent the loss of life.

I own a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe 4X4, I purchased it with 80000 miles on it. When I start the car or I am driving all my gauges on my instrument cluster pass beyond the maximum level, even my speedometer sometimes I will be going 40mph but it is marking 80mph. My temperature gauge, my battery gauge, my fuel indicator gauge, even my oil pressure gauge stopped working. The worst part is that my prndl and info center also disappear while I am driving and they re- sometimes after few minutes sometimes for days. The dealer said they have no fix for this, other mechanics said that GM has this issue on most of their trucks and SUVS. I think this issue is very unsafe for drivers especially when all your gauges stop working or work improperly or disappear from your screen, I believe this can be dangerous to drivers as well as other people on the road and GM should find a fix for it. Thank you

While driving vehicle completely stalls no electrical not even hazard lights. I was driving and radio started to static and then car stalled was not able to turn on hazards making it very dangerous as other vehicles were not able to see that I was stalled and got very close to hitting my truck had to call for help as I was sitting in intersection had no way of telling them I was unable to move had to open my doors to call attention to drivers. A day before I noticed that problem began when I parked vehicle and ignition key turned off all electricity will quickly shut off including radio. When at a normal time radio would stay on until door opened. This incident has happen to me 3 times already. I have had full body throttle replaced, battery and ground cables replaced and still not fixed vehicle also shakes alot at times when stopped at intersection.

TL- the contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 mph there was static coming from the radio and then the vehicle stalled. There were no warning lights on the instrument panel. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The static from the radio also caused the electric windows to open and close intermittently. The failure was diagnosed by the dealer who stated that the full body throttle needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 76127.

The vehicle exhibits accelerated side to side movements in side winds and when following high profile vehicles. The side to side movement is extreme enough to cause mild discomfort from the safety belts and will cause the vehicle operator to be come disoriented. Inclement weather makes the problem intolerable.

After getting the required software update from GM, my 2008 hybrid Tahoe has had multiple episodes of uncontrolled acceleration when driving on cruise control. When using cruise control at around 30mph and when reaching an incline that requires slight acceleration to maintain speed, the vehicle "floors" itself, downshifts and accelerates aggressively. I've had to jump onto the brakes to avoid launching forward. If I had been in a situation where I was close to another vehicle or other object, or if I had not been paying close attention, the truck could easily have accelerated rapidly causing a crash.
