Another common problem with the Tahoe. Driving down the road and suddenly a warning light comes on telling you that the rear access window is open. Get out of car and shut window, only to have it happen again within a few weeks. It seems that all of these vehicles have the same problems. GM knows it...but wont do a thing to fix them. What do you expect for $50k?
OUR NEWEST PROBLEM IS A REAL PAIN IN THE ASS!! THE REAR ACCESS WINDOW OPENS AUTOMATICALLY FOR NO REASON. NOBODY TOUCHS ANYTHING, IT JUST POPS OPEN. IT STARTED OFF ONLY ONCE IN A WHILE, BUT NOW IT'S EVERY FREAKIN DAY!!!!!!!!!! YOU GO TO SHUT IT AND IT POPS OPEN AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!! LIKE SOMEONE IS WATCHING YOU AND PULLING A JOKE BY PUSHING THE OPEN BUTTON ON THE REMOTE. YOU HAVE TO SHUT IT AND LOCK THE VEHICLE RIGHT AWAY IN ORDER FOR IT TO QUIT TEMPORARILY. THIS IS THE MAIN REASON WE ARE TAKING THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER NEXT WEEK. THIS WAS OUR BREAKING POINT!!! ALSO, NOW OUR PASSENGER MIRROR WON'T FOLD IN. YOU CAN HEAR THE MOTOR SOUND, BUT IT JUST STAYS OPEN. WE'RE GETTING FED UP WITH ALL THE PROBLEMS ON THIS TRUCK!
Update from Aug 4, 2010: WELL THEY REPLACED THE LATCH, BUT IT'S STILL ACTING UP; NOT AS MUCH, BUT IT STILL IS, SO IT'S AT THE DEALERSHIP AS WE SPEAK. WILL REPORT BACK WHAT THEY FIND.
