Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the instrument cluster failed to illuminate without warning. Also, there was a crack on the front passenger side of the dashboard near the front passenger air bag. The dealer was not called. The manufacturer stated that there was no recall for the instrument cluster and referred the contact to NHTSA. The contact was unaware of nets campaign number: (air bags) at the time the vehicle was purchased. The contact called sax motor co. At (701) 483-4411 (located at 52 St E, dickinson, nd 58601). The dealer confirmed that the parts were not available. The manufacturer was notified and was not able to confirm when the parts would become available. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
