Just changed the plugs wires and #1 coil because check engine light came on. Code reader reads 301 misfire or multiple misfire. Do compression test, no compression in 2 cylinders. Recommend new engine.

Tahoe LS 5.3L V8

  • 50,000 miles

When I received this vehicle the engine tapping was noticeable at the idle rpm. I changed the oil and filter also added 1QT. of ATF. The vehicle was driven approx. 200 miles and the tapping subsided. I changed the oil and filter again to OE spec. Now it has approx. 600 miles and now I have a lite to medium tapping above idle rpm. ???
