Have owned the vehicle since new. For a long time I had been "topping off" the brake fluid in the master cylinder. Finally got a message on the dash telling me to "service brakes soon" that would come and go. Eventually made it to our local Chevrolet dealer while the message was displayed for diagnostic purposes. Was told code "C0299" was found regarding brake booster pressure sensor performance. Vehicle was repaired by replacing the master cylinder and hydraulic brake booster. A large amount of brake fluid was found inside the booster upon disassembly. Obviously had been leaking brake fluid from the master cylinder into the brake booster for a long time. Saw that Ford had a recent recall for a similar problem and I thought it was worth reporting. I retained both the master cylinder and brake booster for inspection if needed. Fortunately no incidents occurred due to this part failure before replacement.
Bad engine cuts off while driving. Burn excessive oil and water. Motor makes loud noises. Brakes have to be changed every 2 months. Grinding noises when you take your feet of the gas, sounds like a 18 wheeler breaking down to stop. Now the engine won't turn over. Replaced sensors and timing but still not cranking. So now it needs a motor. Dashboard is cracked up so bad you can see inside to airbag. Which sometimes gets extremely hot.
I was driving and the engine light the traction light and the tire monitor system light lit up then the sign said engine power reduce and then the car engine started shaking really bad.
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe. While driving various speeds, the vehicle accelerated independently when the brake pedal was depressed. The contact had to apply excessive force to the brake pedal in order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the cylinders, valves, hoses, calipers, pads, and brake fluid needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
