I have had issues with my door locks going on and off for years and the dealer could never figure out what was wrong with it supposedly. I own a 2007 Chevy Tahoe lt. I was driving home from work on 05/23/2013 at about 50mph when I lost power for no apparent reason. I was luckily in the outside lane where I could maneuver my vehicle off the road without getting hit from behind as quickly as possible. At first I thought it was a dead battery and the tow truck jumped me and it started just fine so I replaced the battery the next day. Then I tried to start it the next day and nothing electrical would turn on when I turned the key. Tow truck came again to jump me and I took it to the dealer and they said it was the battery cables right from the get go. The service manager has been there for 15 years and knew exactly the issues I was having. They replaced the cables to a cost to me of $500!!! he said that Chevy knows it's an issue but because there aren't enough people experiencing it they won't do a recall..absolutely ridiculous!!!!! they are lucky my kids weren't in the car and that nobody was hurt because I would have filed the biggest lawsuit they ever saw!!!!

2007 Chevrolet Tahoe. Consumer states after driving on the highway for 15 minutes or so the tire low pressure indicator light on the instrument panel came on the consumer stated before he took the vehicle to the dealer, the air was checked several times, with no indication of a problem. The consumer then took the vehicle to the dealer, where they replaced the sensor in the right rear tire. However, the problem continued. The consumer went to another dealer, where they ran a test and found no problem. After filing a complaint, the consumer went back to the second dealer where they found a lock problem. They replaced and reprogrammed the rcdlr. The consumer stated the problem is ongoing. Also, the doors locked on their own on a number of occasions.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the driver and passenger rear door could not be unlocked. The owner would have to manually pull the door lock up after opening the window in order to get the door open. The contact was concerned because a young child usually sat in the rear seat and the contact was concerned that in the event they would have to exit the vehicle hastily, the child could possibly become stuck in the vehicle. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and they offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000. The VIN was unavailable.

I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Since I bought the car these are some of the issues I have had with the car- all within the first year - some issues are ongoing. Three of the four door handles are frayed and cause cuts. The center console was literally coming apart at the seams. I can hear the sound of wind very loudly with the windows up. Shortly after I bought the car - I returned to the service dept. At the dealer (moreno valley Chevrolet) advising them that the door locks are not properly operating with the key fob and that the sound of wind was/is very loud and the tires are making noise. Well, they replaced, reset, and whatever else to the door locks - and the electronic fob still did not (and does not) work. Even after three (or four) attempts to resolve this - I have to use the key, the fob does not work. The dvd player plays at will. At one of those visits - where I advised of excessive noise, the dealer replaced three of my tires and my dvd player - without my request. The service tech says - "oh, they hooked you up." I asked and asked "why" they replaced these things and no one, including the service manager, had an answer. And still - the tires wear unevenly, are loud, and the ride is not smooth and the dvd player plays when it wants to. I took my car to jiffy lube for an oil change and the guy there said, "one day, your tires are going to fall off, this (what the name was-I can't recall) is broken...it's just a matter of time before it falls apart." I took it to the dealer (moreno valley Chevy) and they said "cannot duplicate." Never, ever another Chevy.

Our 2007 Chevy Tahoe has had to have 2 door handles replaced in the last 2 years. Both handles have experienced the exact same issue. The piece which connects the handle to the door snaps allowing it to move freely from the doors. These incidents both occurred when the person entering the vehicle tried to pull on the handle to open the door. One incident was due to my wife opening the door and the other occurred when a 14 year old tried to open the door. We have had it replaced once and now have to do the same again. Since this is a $400 expenditure with parts and service each time. This issue was not covered under warranty so we have to pay for this ourselves.

My child attempted to open rear door on my 2007 Chevy Tahoe ltz. One side of the handle broke, thus pulling one side away from the door and pinching her hand somehow! this is the 2nd handle to break on this vehicle. I personally went to open my passenger side door and it broke right off! what if we were in a crash and needed to be pulled out and the door handles break off"!" very dangerous! upon investigating this defect I have learned this is not an uncommon incident! see following link www.topix.com/forum/autos/Chevrolet-Tahoe/trfog7J2eokh998G2 I hope we can see a recall out of this!

I am writing to advise a complaint regarding our 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe ltz door handles. In April 2011, the outside drivers side door handle came partially unattached from the body of the vehicle. The handle came loose only on one side (the far left) leaving it attached from only the far right. The exact same thing happened to the drivers side rear passenger within the last week. That is 2 handles in 2 months. My 5 year old daughter pinched her finger in the unattached space while attempting to open the door. I have taken our vehicle to the dealer and they are charging $172 per handle for the repairs. Vehicle is a 2007 with only 25,000 miles.

2007 Chevrolet Tahoe has faulty chrome door handles owned the SUV for a little over a year. All 4 have been replaced but with the same faulty handles. Recently the drivers handle broke again. This time my husband had to tie and hold the door closed to get to the dealership they wanted us to pay for the last 2 B/C it's out of warranty. They said it's a one time comp. The next time we will have to pay. Dealership says they have nothing but problems with the chrome handles. They need to be recalled and replaced with a new design.
