I have had my Tahoe since Feb 2006 and it started making a popping noise from the front end when turning. It almost sounds like someone hits the frame with a hammer when I turn. I expected better from a New vehicle. The dealer has heard the pop adn every time they do something different to try and get rid of it. The following are the solutions to the problem: They elongated the Cross Member bolt holes, Greased the cross member and body mounts( not sure how you grease something that doesn't need grease, replaced the Cross Member and replaced the front body mounts. The Dealer keeps telling me that it is not a safety issue but, after 5 times in there for the same problem it doesn't make me rest easy with a pregnant wife driving it around in 120 degree heat. Dealership is very helpful adn the keep giving me a rental but, I want to drive my Tahoe. Also, there was some pretty detailed research done to see what else it could be but, with no fix. I am getting very tired of having to explain to friends and my wife that, there is nothing wrong with the vehicle and then wondering if it will fal apart when I turn into a parking lot. "Like a Rock".......
One of the maintenance guys even said "If you turn up your radio, you can't hear it" Thanks Cooter. I hope you don't plan on reproducing.
