The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the rear liftgate would not release when accessing from inside or outside of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the actuator switch was replaced. One year later after the repair was performed the failure recurred. The rear liftgate would not lock and the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified, who informed the contact that there was not a recall related to the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 66,000. Updated 11/5/13
