Ever since we bought it, there has been a rattle coming from under the car, mainly when idling or at slow speeds. Mechanic said there's nothing he can do except replace the muffler. So I climbed under there and found the heat shield on the top of the muffler was making the noise. I took some metal banding normally used for pallets & crates and wrapped it around the entire muffler & heat shield. Noise is gone, life is good. No more irritated stares while picking up kids from school.
